Even modern lenses need occasional upkeep and maintenance to keep them working like new, and that goes double for vintage ones. Whether it’s a basic clean and lube or something more involved like fungus removal, or oily aperture blades, we’ve handled it. For most repairs, if your lens is a Super or SMC Takumar, parts lenses are already on hand. Even if you didn’t buy your lens here, don’t hesitate to contact us for a quote.

All of our pre-modded thoriated lenses undergo UV treatment to reverse any browning they may have acquired over the years, and we offer this service to you as well. While many of our services can be handled in a single day, UV treatment can take several days, so expect up to 5 days of additional working time for this service (or longer, depending on availability and on a first-come-first-serve basis).

Mods

Cinemodding is our specialty, and we’ve been doing it for over a decade. Every cinemod service comes with an aperture declick, mount change, a stepped up filter thread (77mm is the standard, but 82mm is available on request), and a custom 3D printed nylon follow focus gear modeled to your specific lens. We stock everything needed to mod all M42 lenses, but if parts exist for your lens, we can do the job.
